Alabama defensive back Kyriq McDonald was carted off the field on a stretcher after collapsing on the sidelines during Monday night’s CFP National Championship Game against Georgia.
McDonald, who has not seen playing time for the Crimson Tide, appeared to be awake and alert as he was taken off the field.
The freshman from Madison, Ala. fell near the end of the third quarter as Alabama was trying to mount a comeback from a 13-0 halftime deficit.
